I try to encourage a more limitless expansion/expression of fiber as an art mediumin my work as I know Claire does.
This is a new form of art. Fiber artists are expanding beyond traditional definitions of art. We are the new wave, the new expression much like impressionism and abstract art was before. Only the best institutions really recognize this and move forward.
Congratulations Claire!

The exhibition is indeed a wonderful one, and as another practitioner in a traditionally home/women's craft, handweaving, I was thrilled to see that old methods, used by skilled hands with great designs, can easy cross over to artworks.

Clare's understated passion is attractive and contagious. I hope there will be another exhibition, for e.g. "Five Years On."
