Well, now Sir John’s well gone! And our DHB’s appointed a brand new manager from as far a field as Whangarei! Surely it wasn’t a case of No locals not being qualified enough? No, more likely a case the locals knew too much!

What ever, rather than a costly court case, where more often than not, the only winners are the lawyers! Surely Now is the “overdue” time for Chairman Kevin Atkinson, to show the good people of Hawke’s Bay how good and up front he really is?

To all the nurses… You are all amazing and no matter what happens and no matter what anyone says you all know the way you have touched so many peoples lives and you all know how good you are at your jobs. Remember that at the end of the day you have support, you have people backing you through this and all this” high end” managers have no support thats why they have all been moved to another position.

Good call Maurie.Until PSEC/DHB can answer questions posed by Tom,Dr Fox and the public all monies must be withheld.A report (TAS)that links most if not all issues back to management needs a public response from PSEC/DHB.To remove a key player (Robinson) and not give an explanation leaves this whole restructuring process open to interpretation and rumour,something all parties do not need at this time.
A public apology to nurses could go along way to instilling public confidence and restoring esteem to this sevice and its stakeholders.

I lived in Napier for 50 years,up until the death of my beautiful wife in September 03,at Cranford Hospice.The care,tenderness,and love,she received from Kerryn Lum,the Nurses,everyone.was beyond any words of mine. That wonderful x factor,that was unique toCranford,must not be lost . On visiting Napier,after roaming the World for a few years,it was with utter disbelief Ilearned what the bureaucrats are doing to Cranford.trying to turn it into a clinical institution,walk in the front,wheeled out the back.all singing God bless DHB. It must not happen,I for one have put a hold on all donations.and instructed my Lawyer hold my bequest,until I hear from Kerryn Lum,or any of the old Nursing staff,not from some spin doctor,that commonsense has prevailed,Istrongly urge any one who wants Cranford to be as we knew it,for the People of the Bay,to do the same. Thank you to all those wonderful Doctors,and Nurses of old Cranford,my self and my Family,will never forget you.Maurie Staples,
