I hope something comes out of all this talk. The Tuki Tuki river for one has been on notice for years as being badly poluted by both Waipawa and Waipukarau Councils allowing raw only partly treated seweage dunped into the river at certain times. The councils all three of them are guilty of sitting on their hand and the only ones to benefit have been the consultants. Many thousands have been spent and instead of getting on and fixing the problem they are targeting 2014 as the date to comply. I believe they should be complying now not putting off the problem because its costly and hard.
